Spot a changing shape, untangle a number sequence, or follow a set of clues. Pattern Lab is a small, untimed reasoning game for a quiet break.

• Full challenge: 12 original puzzles — four visual patterns, four number problems and four logic questions.
• Daily Five: five questions selected from that same 12-puzzle bank, rotating at 00:00 UTC. Familiar questions can return; this is not five new puzzles every day.
• Free results: see your correct-answer count, question-type breakdown and an explanation for every answer. No payment or signup is needed.
• Take your time: the clock records time spent; it never counts down. Change an answer, save and return, or clear your progress.

How to play

Click or tap an answer, then choose Next. Keyboard players can use Tab, the arrow keys and Space to select answers. The game fits desktop and mobile screens. If your browser blocks saving inside the embedded game, keep it open until you finish.

This is the browser edition of the free challenge at Pattern Lab. These 12 questions are different from the 24 in the optional printable collection.

A note about scores and privacy

This game is for practice and entertainment. It does not provide a standardized IQ, percentile, diagnosis or certificate. Progress stays in your browser. The game sends no custom analytics events, answers or scores to Pattern Lab; itch.io processes its own hosting and visit information.

Generative AI assisted the code, text and cover illustration. Puzzle diagrams are rule-based SVGs. The game was checked through full playthroughs, keyboard controls, small screens and restricted browser storage.
